Island Saga III 2015 This was easily one of the most amazing and colorful sunsets I have ever whitnessed during my travels and one of those super rare and special moments as a landscape photographer. This sunset highlights the ridiculously beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss located in south Iceland right on the ringroad. I camped right across the street and we just had lunch and enjoyed the evening as this sunset sets in, I quickly grapped my tripod and my filters and ran to the waterfall. I fired about 100 shots one after another, in between I also captured some video material. I was quite excited and scared at the same time to mess this shot because this was a one of a kind oportunity and only the second perfect sunset overall during my 11 day roadtrip. Island Saga I by phigun
Island Saga I, 2015 For sure I also captured some of these famous spots too but for me it was more about trying to explore and find places that are not overvisited by us photographers these days. I loved this beautiful calm and reduced sunset scene in the middle of nowhere on one smaller road in northern iceland. i was just looking for a place to sleep at around 11'o clock as I found myself jumping out the car trying to capture this lovely little moment. Frozen Labyrinth by PaulZizkaPhoto
Jesse Milner navigates through the mighty Robson Glacier, a couple of weeks ago. I actually took this on the descent (we took a little detour...) after a wonderful trip that took us to the top of the 3 11,000ers visible in this image: Resplendent (left), Robson (right) and the Helmet (black peak in front of Robson). via 500px http://bit.ly/1UrAjXM

The Moses Moment by tchebotarev
When travelling with such great guys like Iurie Belegurschi and Slava Mylnikov, you get to have a little fun while shooting landscapes. Here, Iurie poses as a Moses at Gullfoss, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. At least it shows you some scale of things in Iceland! PS: It's May 4th and there's a bunch of snow outside and -2C. Welcome to Icelandic spring! Follow our epic adventure everywhere with #500pxIcelandTour. via 500px http://bit.ly/1EZXBcH

Camping on the volcano Etna by marcocalandra89
Facebook page: Marco Calandra Photography Website: http://www.marcocalandra.com Google +: Marco Calandra A few weeks before the eruption of October 26 2013, the south-east crater of Etna had already manifested phenomena of explosive activity. On the evening of October 25, I made an arrangement with my cousin for camping on the volcano and making several photographs. Later that day we started to walk down the path that would have taken us to the Valle del Bove. Once there, we put up the tent and spent the night taking several photographs. During the first hours of the night we started to hear some roars coming from the crater, so we looked out of the tent and saw that it had started to erupt, resuming its explosive activity which had stopped a few weeks before. It was a great sensation to see a spectacle of nature like that and be one of the firsts to see it so closely. So we caught the opportunity to film and photograph in order to keep it as a memory, not just a mental one, but also visual one. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/107740427

Colour Explosion by HougaardMalan
One of the greatest prospects of visiting any far Northern country is the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights. I was almost guaranteed to see and shoot it on my trip, as I had a full 20 nights there. Surely enough, the forecast promised level 5 Aurora activity (very strong) for my first night. After running around Reykjavik to get microspikes and thermal boots, I headed to a nearby lake that a friend told me of. As night fell, I could already see streaks of green above the street lights of the capital. I went to the lake feeling inspired, but upon getting there I realised that I don't know the place, the full moon is out, I've been travelling for 48 hours and it's -12 degrees, by far the coldest I've ever experienced. I enjoyed simply witnessing it and went to bed. Then, as Murphy would have it, the Northern Lights remained dormant for a full 17 days. The last few days of my trip were dreary and unlucky as the clouds always did just the wrong thing. Finally, on my 2nd-last night, the Aurora forecast showed level 4 activity and the weather forecast promised clear skies. The display started just as darkness fell, slowly and with plenty of cloud cover. I was hoping for something much better and between the clouds, a weak display and a temperature of -9 degrees, I was almost ready to give up. Like a sign from the gods, the sky suddenly exploded with light, shapes and colour. The dark night turned into a green day as the Aurora cast enough light to make everything clearly visible on a moonless night. My heart pounded with pure joy as the streaks of green, purple and red changed shape and colour. It was hands down, by far, without a shadow of a doubt the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen. Above the Comfort Zone by maxrivefotograaf
Check out my NEW website! This will also be the place where you can get rights managed licenses! Don’t miss my upcoming photo tours, including my Iceland Tour ! I wanted to do something with Light pollution for some time now and on Tenerife everything finally went the way I wanted it. The mist and the distant rainclouds combined with the lights from the city created some incredible and very surrealistic light. I first didn’t plan to do any adventure shots on Tenerife but I also received a project for an outdoor company which changed my approach during this trip. I’m happy I can show this one here, which is one of my favorites. It did cost me a full night, torn pants, many scratches and some painful encounters with cactuses but in the end it sure was worth it. via 500px http://bit.ly/1HdYNcS
