Chinese artist Ai Weiwei explores his complex relationship with Beijing - “a city that doesn’t belong to its residents” - and takes us through his neighbourhood Caochangdi, a migrant and artists village on the urban fringe where he has tried to create a space for freedom of expression. The short first film is the first in a Guardian Cities / Tate special series ‘The Artist and Their City’ http://bit.ly/1O1niQI
