I spent sometime in Olympic National Park last spring while travelling through the Pacific Northwest and was lucky enough to catch a few days with some beautiful light. Between the amazing coast and the rain forest this place is photographer’s paradise. Since I had lost my camera on a wave accident the day before I shot this, I had to borrow a camera to capture this amazing light. Thanks Alex Noriega for letting me use his camera to capture it. Luckily there was enough light for everyone! via 500px http://bit.ly/1EZVmKa

Pins and Needles by RyanDyar
It took me a few minutes to figure out exactly what the hell kept falling on my head while I was shooting this day. Turned out to be nesting birds on the cliff behind me dropping rocks on me in protest to my presence... sounds a lot like my lovelife prior to meeting the gal I was lucky enough to marry a couple weeks ago. Anyways, I'm gearing up for some more arctic travel here in a few weeks with my good friend Arild Heitmann. We also have another trip next March that is filling fast! I'm willing to bet these trips to the Arctic will be even more productive than our last. I can't wait! Also, I just released a new post-processing instructional video a few days back. It's packed with some unique techniques and theories about processing you may not find anywhere else. People seem to really be enjoying the videos and have had nothing but great things to say, so I *think* they are helping people... it's been awesome to see the many before/after shots people have been emailing me. Be sure to check the videos out if you are into that sort of thing. It's all on my website, as well as more photos, photo tour info, processing instruction via Skype like everyone else is doing, etc, etc. 2015 Tour Schedule Lofoten Autumn Aurora - With Arild Heitmann Northern Lights Finale - With Arild Heitmann Processing Tutorial Videos Processing Instruction via Skype via 500px http://bit.ly/1UGGIcw

For Jeff by frank_delargy
FOR JEFF In memory of Jeff Swanson. I never met him or conversed with him. Never actually knew of him but what others here are doing makes a lot of sense to me. Raising awareness of artists and of good causes will always matter. You can view Jeff's images at jeffitandbethere.com - the profit from any print sales goes toward the Melanoma Research Foundation. They also accept straight donations. ....... Beach house - redo. 2 sec exposure.. just enough to catch the trails of the surf as it leaves the beach. An almost full moon and a solitary light by the beach house provided the illumination. As turtle nesting season in Florida has just started, all (or most) of the street lights along the coast roads are turned off or should be dimmed or sheltered from the beach. This one may have belonged to the private residence. f/2.8 ISO 1600, 16mm . Sony a7r with Canon 16-35mm lens. It's a night image so it really looks best in black (click on image or press H) . Thanks! Frank via 500px http://bit.ly/1JtR9ej

Green Dawn by AlessioAndreani
Join me and Francesco Gola for an amazing photo travel: Photo tour in Brittany You can follow me on Facebook Contact me here Stokksnes is one of the most popular destination in Iceland, you can easily figure out why. I waited a lot for the Northern Lights, but they didn't show up properly, only some green in far distance, but in landscape photography you have to deal with nature (and i'm not that kind of guy that copy and paste sky from other shots..) so i tried to capture the atmosphere of the moment. Best viewed in black! via 500px http://bit.ly/1I5MIWh

Fire Breather by Dylken
Horse Head Rock, Bermagui, NSW As always this looks better on a black background. Horse Head Rock has to be one of the coolest sea stacks I have seen. Taken during a weekend trip down the coast of NSW with Luke Tscharke and Adam Williams where we were lucky enough to witness a gorgeous sunrise along with a few other photographers that morning. This is a single RAW exposure processed 4 times for shadow and highlight detail and blended. Then a final shot for the birds blended after that. via 500px http://bit.ly/1MkaN0L

Zama Beach by twwall
I found this image on a old hard drive form 4 years ago. I think it's a good example of how important conditions are to landscape photography. This is a single frame with very little processing . It was one of the most unusual skies I have ever seen. via 500px http://bit.ly/1TuYMHV

The Forlorn Gate by TedGore
The Forlorn Gate Well, it's been about 2 months since I last posted here as I've been off traveling doing what I love! While I was gone I found myself in Patagonia for a month, followed by two weeks running workshops in the Columbia River Gorge with TJ Thorne in Oregon(which were a fantastic time), followed by some down time in Hawaii, which I owed to my wife for letting me take off for 6 weeks without her! Anyway, plenty of images coming from those travels, but I wanted to get some older stuff out of the way first. Here is an image from some dramatic coastline in southern California I shot back in March as a storm cleared. Water rushed over the rocky foreground as cormorants kept me company. I love this sea stack as it resembles a crumbled section of a massive stone fortress wall. Multiple exposures were used to capture a wider angle of view along with various shutter speeds to capture elements in the scene. I want to bring some attention to a workshop my good friends Erin Babnik and Enrico Fossati are running this summer in the Italian Dolomites. I'm positive you could not find a better workshop being run in these relatively low-photographed, amazing mountains! It's an opportunity that can't be missed. Please check it out and get MORE INFORMATION HERE if you are interested! via 500px http://bit.ly/1fcGBYZ

Sugar-coated by DylanFox
Sugarloaf Rock is a very often photographed location in Australia's south-west corner. I have been many times before, however went on this particular evening with the intent of capturing something truly unique... You can see that result in a previous upload. This was still a new composition for me but I made this photograph after the previous just to take full advantage of the awesome skies! The light didn't last long but it went off! These clouds drifted over from behind me with perfect timing! Made for a very fun evening and made the 3 hour drive home a little more bearable... via 500px http://bit.ly/1IFuIXy
