*For a better quality view on black! :) PH | Paolo Lombardi SL | Conca della Gardetta – Valle Maira - Italy FB | Paolo Lombardi Photography OW | http://bit.ly/1JCuQH2 In un tranquillo weekend di...luna...ero salito sul grandioso Altopiano della Gardetta (preferirei chiamarlo “Conca” se inteso da un punto di vista geologico) alla ricerca di un SuperMoonrise alle spalle dell’imponente stazza della “Rocca La Meja” con il bellissimo Rifugio Gardetta lì in primo piano. Una visione che avevo latente e che notai tanto tempo fa su alcune foto storiche quindi volevo assolutamente riproporla in veste “moderna e notturna”. Ma come ben sappiamo il meteo spesso è davvero “giocherellone” e fin da subito notai particolari condizioni atmosferiche che sicuramente mi avrebbero “rovinato i piani”. E così è stato...niente Moonrise. Tuttavia dopo una mezzoretta ha iniziato a presentarsi una situazione meteorologica davvero interessante, davvero nebbiosa, davvero umida ma davvero unica! Forse mi trovavo nel posto giusto e nel momento giusto con condizioni impreviste ma giuste. AWESOME! Dalle ore 22:00 fin quasi all’alba abbiamo potuto assistere ad una “danza silenziosa di nebbia e nuvole”, dalla velocità stratosferica, che prendevano forma dal fondovalle e soprattutto dalla cuspide della Meja che sembrava alimentarle come un vulcano. Il tutto accompagnato da una magica luce lunare, che rendeva un po’ tetra la sagoma in controluce del Rifugio, e da tanta tanta umidità che ci voleva un phon per asciugare il corredo fotografico. Che altro dire...mi sto ancora leccando le dita per quello spettacolo! La Meja così non l’avevo ancora vista! Thanks For Watching & Good Vision To You! via 500px http://bit.ly/1JIQaZX

As I stood in the fog filled forest, I couldn't help myself from thinking of dinosaurs chasing me through this forest! So childish I know, but the primeval mood of the forest was so enchanting. The mood was that of a movie set, that was deep within the forest. Occasion the inner kid comes out of me. Peace and Love I also wanted to take a moment to remember fellow photographer, and a just a wonderful guy, Jeff Swanson, who passed last year to cancer at the young age of 30.
