The Hawaiian Rockies. by tomkualii

Went to shoot sunrise yesterday and the place I wanted to go was being covered by monster waves. I was about 25 yards away and got covered by a wave splash. Scrambling back away from the shoreline I found this cool composition. Nothing else to shoot at the coast and this is what I ended up with. Aloha via 500px http://bit.ly/1JPw9ib

A Perfect Storm by guyschmickle

A perfect storm for photography is when an oncoming storm approaches an imminent sunrise or sunset resulting in crazy light and skies. That's what I had the pleasure of experiencing last weekend here in my hometown of Sedona, AZ. This image was taken in the Schnebly Hill area east of town and it made the gnarly trip back down the rugged 4x4 road through a nasty storm worthwhile. The lightning was captured with the aid of my Lightning Bug made by MK Controls. via 500px http://bit.ly/1i7MxnB

I spent the last couple of days at white pocket Arizona, one of the most unusual formations I have been to. The sunsets were pretty bland but the Milky way was out in full force. via 500px http://bit.ly/1JODe4G

Tree Of Life by williampatino

Re-sharing this old one. I grew up passing by this tree on a daily basis and always thought it would make a great subject for a painting or photo. Many years later, not long after picking up a camera, I ventured here and captured this pretty simple photo. Although very basic, it remains the oldest image in my portfolio yet one of the most special to me. In this moment I realised the joy found in photography and what a powerful story telling tool it can be. I love how we can all strive to make our visions a reality and share with others the unique we each see the world. Thanks for viewing. PRINTS|BLOG|WORKSHOPS via 500px http://bit.ly/1JNScrG
