Memory Box is the third and final film directed and produced by the filmmaking team of Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell, (Until The Light Takes Us, 99%). It premiered on Sept. 24, 2016, at Fantastic Fest. Aaron Aites, also the singer-songwriter behind the band Iran, died on April 28, 2016, after battling cancer. His band released three albums: S/T (1998), The Moon Boys (2002) and Dissolver (2008). Pitchfork described his self-titled album, IRAN, as “unabashed excellence.” Aaron’s final EP as IRAN will be released sometime later this year or in early 2017. It is available as a reward at the link below. Aites’ last film as a director, Memory Box, was intended as a proof-of-concept for a feature. Aites and Ewell were also working on a ghost film at the time of his death.
