The highly acclaimed, blockbuster-style short film THE SHAMAN premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2015. After that it ran successfully at numerous film festivals around the globe, including Los Angeles, London, San Diego and the DragonCon in Atlanta. The trailer turned into a viral sensation with over 4 million views. The dark year 2204, in a world that has seen 73 years of continuous war. Recently mankind re-discovered the arts of Shamanism. The Shaman’s school of thought believes that every person or object has a soul. During battle Shamans step over into the Netherworld to find and convert the souls of their enemies’ giant battle machines. This tactic enables a single man to overcome an invincibly seeming steel monster. This is the story of Joshua, a Shaman, who is sent on a mission to convert the soul of a giant battle colossus. He does not yet know that the soul is prepared for his coming and that the deadly psychological soul-to-soul confrontation in the Netherworld will be on eye level. Subtitles are available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and German. Discover the world of THE SHAMAN here: http://bit.ly/1Ppey8b http://on.fb.me/1LJLdgU

Autumn is that romantic, melancholy and harmonious season that all photographers rush to capture from its arrival. And no wonder, the light, the colours and the energy displayed by the autumn, are ideal fuel for encouraging the creativity of any visual artist. Overload is a story started from two sentences. 'In a mentally overloaded state how accurate is human memory’, 'Past memories are always glorified’. I have heard and read different opinions about the wave of Syrian refugees who try to make their way in to EU. Then I went to Lesvos. 7 Days on the Greek Island gave me a healthier human perspective on the situation. Seeing in my own eyes the people behind the headlines and feeling their deep struggle, broke my heart. Is this the “threat” people talk about? All I could see was courages people in a crisis. I also got to meet brave volunteers from all over the world who reach out to help all people regardless of their religion, race or background. That inspired me. My hope is that this video will shake some of the bad ideas we sometimes feed ourselves with. From the Highlands and Islands on the west coast to John O’Groats and North Berwick on the east I’ve captured just a fraction of the stunning wilderness which Scotland has to offer. I’ve spent the last few months travelling up and down the country capturing locations, carefully planning my schedule to take advantage of the best light, be that dawn or dusk. Along the way I’ve been lucky to pick up some unexpected shots such as deer near Ardnamurchan and a large group of seals in a bay near John O’ Groats at the very top of the British mainland. I was lucky to experience a prolonged spell of good weather so filming this was a much faster process than for my first aerial film; Beautiful Scotland - vimeo.com/100426447 Making this film involved a series of mini adventures. Hiking up Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill at 3am in the pitch dark, to film the spectacular serrated ridge of An Teallach, and hearing stags roaring in the valleys below is a memory that will stay with me for a very long time. Also filming Bass Rock near North Berwick, which is home is to the world’s largest single rock Gannet colony with some 40,000 pairs of birds, at first light was a real treat. The film was mostly shot on the DJI Inspire 1 and for the more remote locations I used the DJI Phantom 3 which can be packed in a backpack really easily. Big shout out to Drew Gibson (http://twitter.com/drew_the_editor) who has done another magnificent job colour grading this and also to Pete Smith (http://bit.ly/1ljCXim) who created the sound mix. Money is not just currency. It is the most common piece of artwork. It represents our history, culture and mythology. Thus, it does not only appear as the material backbone of our civilization - it´s dialectic is that it constitutes and is being constituted by the way our civilization proceeds. If this is the case, our materialism is not only reflected by the very material that money is, the material itself reflects the very state our civilization is in. Money is durable, maybe timeless. Or is it not? Motion designer Christian Stangl wants to contest the apparent durability by speeding up the natural decay of the material by using various acids. Strangely these chemical processes, that ultimately result in total disaggregation bring unforeseen life to the material symbolization of our society. This music video of Strange Freedom´s Track „Hide“ was made of thousands of single microscopic photographies, merged together, creating a dramatic timelapse scenario. http://bit.ly/1I6oG2Y 4K/UHD Version: youtu.be/MozX3qFIkpQ Today I’m privileged to share with you the Finland I got to experience. I’ve witnessed the diversity and immense beauty of this land from the very north all the way to the southern parts, yet every time I set off I’m in awe. Finland never ceases to amaze me, and so, I’m truly honored and blessed to call this country my home. This journey was more than a timelapse project. I could go on and on ecstatically about what I experienced during the 8500 kilometers on the road. As I carried the burden of impending schoolwork, I had to make the most out of my time, while fulfilling my dream. It meant that the three months spent with the project were momentous. I’m thrilled to have experienced Finland’s sublime nature on my travels, yet I’m also moved by being able to touch a great deal of people by doing what I love. I find their appraisal and kindness most humbling and rewarding.¨ I want to thank everyone from my family for playing their part in this project from the very first day I picked up this hobby till today. In October 2015, I accompanied the humanitarian organisation Medair to eastern Congo, a region in crisis for more than two decades. Medair has been bringing relief to people suffering in some of the most remote places in DR Congo since 1997. DR Congo is often a forgotten crisis. It doesn’t show up much in the news, but millions of people continue to be forced from their homes cut off from health care and other essentials because of ongoing waves of violence. Medair is going far off the beaten path to make sure vital health services are up and running in remote villages. You can learn more about what they are doing here: http://bit.ly/1OjsKwa The interviews in this film went through several translations. As a result, there might be some mistakes in the translation, but the main content was not altered. THERE IS A FEELING that is shared with skiers all over the world. It’s nothing you can teach, learn or explain. It’s something you feel. Something you know. It stops you from sleeping during a snowstorm - knowing that fresh powder awaits you. It gives you the urge to continue hiking up the mountain when everyone else is stopping at the top of the ski lift. It hits you when looking back at your line at the bottom of a run, wanting to go back up and do it again. It’s a different way of looking at the world and something only A Skier Knows. “Spirit of Alaska” is the first Episode in the film series A Skier Knows, where Henrik Windstedt and Matilda Rapaport takes on the mighty mountain faces of Alaska. It will take you on an enchanting journey deep into the mind of a freeskier. “Alaska is a mental game with few comparable situations. You sit down for days and just look at the mountains and when the weather clears, you know you have to perform on your highest level and be super aware of your own but also the mountain limits. They seem to be a little more extreme up there.” Henrik Windstedt

The Clock of the Long Now is a portrait of Danny Hillis and his brilliant team of inventors, futurists, and engineers as they build The 10,000 Year Clock—a grand, Stone Henge-like monolith, being constructed in a mountain in West Texas. Once in awhile we come across a real life story that embodies this message. A story of falling madly in love with your dream. Then using that passion to overcome the massive obstacles that appear in the journey of realizing it. This is that story. This documentary was made possible by Frank Casares who believed in us and funded the project. We had a small crew of 5 people and shot on a RED epic, RED dragon, 5D Mark ii and the Inspire Copter. The biggest challenge was the slow motion skydiving scene which was filmed by Craig O’Brien. Those were shot on the RED dragon at 200 fps. Due to wind, we only had 4 jumps to make it happen but Craig and skydivers Brad Patterson and Dalten Kadow nailed it. Currently we’re searching for the next great story to tell. We encourage people to reach out to us if they have one or know somebody who does. Thanks for watching! GO BEHIND THE SCENES ON THE INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA FEATURE AT http://bit.ly/1GZjUE8 WINNER ‘Best Snow Sports Film’ at the 2015 Banff Mountain Film Festival It was a ridiculous idea from the start. Travel to the edge of the earth to see one of the planet’s rarest events- a total solar eclipse in the Arctic. Faced with the likely reality of bad weather obscuring the sun and having to battle frigid, arctic temperatures and winds, the odds did not favor success. Despite this the Salomon Freeski TV team and set out on an expedition to realize photographer, Reuben Krabbe’s grand vision to capture a single unique image- one of skiing during a solar eclipse. Persistence, preparation and a positive attitude was a guarantee of nothing as March 20th, 2015, dawned. The fate of the expedition’s goal would rest entirely in the hands of the weather gods.

I was interested in what a coming-of-age might feel like to a kid in a town outside of London during the ‘Age of Austerity’. A surreal transition from the expectation of childhood to the exhilaration of emerging adulthood to the quiet realisation that fulfilling your dreams in modern Britain is perhaps an impossibility. The talent, promise and character I encountered amongst the youth in Huddersfield was overwhelming. Really bright kids with big dreams and little infrastructure to realise them. Ramiro Gomez’s parents are Mexican immigrants—his mother works as a janitor and his father is a Costco truck driver. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, he was always aware of the invisibility of the area’s domestic laborers. Now, as an artist represented by the Charlie James Gallery, Gomez paints these workers and places their figures in scenes of L.A. luxury. “It’s my interest to showcase the other side of things, the more real side that I see, which is the people maintaining those mansions,” he says in this documentary produced by Kelly Loudenberg for The Atlantic’s American Dreams series. “I hope that these paintings showcase that their labor meant something to me and it meant something to society.”

HYPERZOOM COMES OF AGE. The beautiful historic town of Hallstatt is a Unesco World Heritage site in Upper Austria. It is visited by many thousands of tourists each year but perhaps none of them get to see it quite like this. As if on the back of an invisible insect we fly around the sites of this wonderful town in one continuous journey passing through buildings to emerge in different parts of the town, finally ending up on the new viewpoint from Rudolfsturm perched high above the ancient town square. Those of you who know Hallstatt, as well as anyone who watches the video carefully, will appreciate that I have applied a little artistic licence to the geometry of the town in order to seamlessly link the locations. The footage was shot over a two day period but the post production, of course, took considerably longer. “65 is the average age of farmers, and there are not enough young farmers to replace them. How did we get here?”* In the summer of 2015, Eva Verbeeck asked me to join her on a trip throughout the Pacific Northwest to produce a short film on young farmers that would accompany her photo story for a variety of publications. Having spent much time WWOOFing on organic farms, I knew the importance of this mission. So we loaded our iPods with old bluegrass music and set off in a 1990 Nissan truck, heading from Portland to British Columbia. We offered our labor in exchange for room and board at the farms that we made it to. This film is an attempt to express some of the thoughts and feelings of the young farmers that we stayed with. Hopefully a little bit of justice was done for all the young farmers out there. Infinite gratitude to all of the farms that hosted us this summer and kept us filled with organic produce and warmth: - Earth Candy Farm (http://on.fb.me/1O1t0zM) - Plenty Wild Farms (plentywild.ca) - Skyberry Farm (skyberryfarm.com) - Hoe Down CSA at Tulaberry Farm (hoedowncsa.wordpress.com) - Yummy Yards (yummyyards.ca) - Growing Veterans (growingveterans.org) - Beacon Food Forest (beaconfoodforest.org) The farmers narrating this film (in order of appearance): - Claire Jutras (Earth Candy Farm) - Alyssa Belter (Plenty Wild Farms) - Kate Rustemeyer (Hoe Down CSA at Tulaberry Farm) - Ellis Hroch (Earth Candy Farm) Music: - Black Twig Pickers and Steve Gunn - “Old Strange” (CC Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 International License) - Chris Zabriskie - “Another Version of You” (Licensed CC-BY) - Nicolas Jaar/Vera Remember - Essential Mix/Last Night Together Equipment used: - Panasonic GH4 and 14-45 3.5-5.6 native lens. - Occasional tripod usage. N o r t h e r n E x p o s u r e This is what snowboarding is all about! Watch Northern Exposure – a short film by Pirmin Juffinger & Karsten Boysen about an epic trip to the back of beyond. Ask any pro rider (any snowboarder at all) about what they love most about snowboarding, and there are two answers that you’ll hear time and time again. “Having fun with your friends!” they’ll tell you, like it’s the first time anyone ever thought of it. “Being in the mountains, surrounded by nature!” they’ll tell you on the chairlift, doing another lap of the snowpark. But you know what? These answers might be clichés, but they’re true. As human beings, the needs to bond with our fellow human, connect with Mother Nature, and explore new places are as deeply ingrained in us as the need to eat, drink, breathe and laugh. So it’s no surprise that when it comes to our preferred flavour of snow porn, nothing beats a good old-fashioned travel edit. No need for triple corks or ultra slo-mo when you’ve got a crew of friends exploring one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

We live in a world where success is the only measure of success. The lack of government funding for British basketball is stifling the opportunities for young players, voicing their passions in this new film UK government funding for sport is based on medal prospects. Basketball, played by 218,000 14-16 year olds every week, was judged to have little chance of future medals and its funding was slashed. Basketball can give hope and focus to those who might otherwise have neither - but its future hangs in the balance. Starring players from North & East London and featuring poet James Massiah, Underneath the Noise celebrates Britain’s raw talent and gives a voice to young ball players. Premiered on DAZED digital. A seed was born beneath the sun, the source of all existence. The seed absorbed the light. It created more seeds like itself, gradually increasing in number. Time passed, but still their numbers slowly continued to rise, and before long they were quietly swallowed up by their own shadows. After everything that had lived had perished, nothing but an empty world remained. There, once again, an environment where the next living things could grow silently began to spread.
