Camera • Amanda Mitchell robertoserrini.com Moto Borgatoro Part documentary, part pulp action film, all love and pure passion: “Moto Borgatoro” follows curmudgeon/savant mechanic Peter Boggia and the birth of his custom 1979 Moto Guzzi Le Mans into creation. Mind you this film is not your normal bike build movie by design; no grinder sparks, no silhouette shots, no dramatic music. Been there seen that. This one is pure adrenaline, and hopefully tightens your pants like riding the bike would. The film has received praise from the limited amount of industry people given the opportunity to experience. Filmmaker and Moto-enthusist alike claim that it’s got “Fellini roots with Tarantino fruits”. We love praise that rhymes. Love bikes, hate bike, or know nothing about them, this film is juicy enough for anyone to quickly fall in love with Peter and his bad-ass machine. About the making of the film: Shot on a Arri SR 16mm film camera, BMCC, and two 5Ds. Edited and sound design in Premiere Pro CC with some light AE magic. Breaking Fast by TedGore

***I’d like to announce a special workshop Erin Babnik and I are leading next summer in the Dolomites in Italy. Specific details and pricing are still being ironed out, but if you know you are interested, or want to be the first to know when we release full details, head over to THIS LINK and sign up for my mailing list, or GO HERE and contact me directly. This is my first release from a series of images of mine from the Dolomites, an amazing mountain range in an amazing part of the world I had the pleasure of exploring a couple months ago with Erin Babnik, who knows this area extremely well. This lake is particularly breathtaking to lay your eyes upon, one of the most idyllic I’ve ever seen. It was a pleasure to visit and quite a breath of fresh air having just recovered from a really rough beginning to my trip of three weeks there… and I was leaving only two days later! When I arrived in Italy, the first thing I had to deal with was jet lag. Now, jet lag usually isn’t that bad, but it is when you roll in, can’t get the rental car you had originally reserved, have to drive 4 hours out of your way so that you can borrow a car from a VERY generous person(who then spent 3 weeks riding his bike to work so we could have a car, thanks dude!), then go straight to a 3 hour hike, with a couple thousand feet of elevation gain, only to then blow out and flare up a knee problem that you haven’t had issues with in several years, having your trekking poles decide to not work anymore, limping out the 3 hour hike back DOWN the several thousand feet of elevation gain, and then to contract one of the nastiest colds that I’ve ever had(from Erin’s private workshop client who was sick, she got sick too), no doubt because of all the stress causing my immune system to absolutely tank. Sorry for that sentence… it’s a mess, and I’m not fixing it! I’m too tired from having to recall that entire ordeal! But, by the time we got to this spot, my jet lag was gone, my cold was gone(so was Erin’s, she actually got over hers faster than I did), and my knee was strong as ever. I was finally enjoying myself fully, and able to really concentrate on my photography. Our evening attempt proved to be a bust, so we retired with hopes for a good morning. Waking before sunset we found the area so socked in fog that we just went back to sleep. Oh glorious sleep. Fast forward a bit, and we were all packed up, fueled, and ready to hike out in the rain and on to our next destination. A shot from here just wasn’t meant to be, but signs of breaks started coming and I thought well, maybe something will happen. We went back to the lake, and as the scattered showers passed over, Erin and I hunkered down under those two larch trees you see there in the shot, which did a really great job of shielding us from the rain while giving us a great view of the lake. It’s actually quite nice to sit under a tree with a great friend, in the rain, watching the drops hit the water and enjoying the view. Eventually this magnificent soft glowy late morning light started flooding in, making the teal of the water really punch as the peak of Il Dito di Dio began peaking out. So I got to work, and this is the result. I’m really quite happy with it. Hope you enjoy it! via 500px http://bit.ly/1iQg5WO

Låtefossen Vin by kaizross

Låtefossen is a gorgeous unique looking double waterfall in Norway. It's such an interesting spot to visit that I had to shoot it. All in all Norway has made a long term impression on me with its undeniable beauty. This shot is made of two shots to get detail in the shadows and in highlights. I tried different shutter speeds to get the most pleasing look out of the water for me. via 500px http://bit.ly/1MrN8wW

Bonneville Salt Flats by dswindler

It was a stormy evening out at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Because the salt was so wet, I didn't dare drive my truck on the flats, so I used my mountain bike to get out a good distance out. I really didn't have much hope for sunset due to the heavy clouds on the horizon. However, a small break appeared and the sun poked through for just a couple minutes. Good thing I was ready! And yes, it was totally worth getting self and bike totally covered in wet salt. via 500px http://bit.ly/1KlDCF6

Dare to Dream by bernardchen

I’m not sure how to describe such an exhilarating feeling I had while rappelling 170 feet down a dark cave in South Pittsburg, TN, which was my first time I have ever done anything daring like this! I have dream for these kinds of shots and when Justin Simpson presented me with such an opportunity, it was an offer I couldn't resist, but overcoming my fears was mentally challenging. However, I found myself in total peace half way down when I felt the aurora that surrounded me. My inside just wanted to scream out with excitement, there I was hanging freely like never before and the only thing that came into my mind was how lucky I am to behold such exquisiteness from mother nature. Photography has led me through many doors and all I can express is how thankful I am to have these life experiences. via 500px http://bit.ly/1KjYlZS

Northwest Light by MCastro17

I spent sometime in Olympic National Park last spring while travelling through the Pacific Northwest and was lucky enough to catch a few days with some beautiful light. Between the amazing coast and the rain forest this place is photographer’s paradise. Since I had lost my camera on a wave accident the day before I shot this, I had to borrow a camera to capture this amazing light. Thanks Alex Noriega for letting me use his camera to capture it. Luckily there was enough light for everyone! via 500px http://bit.ly/1EZVmKa

3am Disko by erezmarom

Beautiful icebergs reflecting in a perfectly calm Disko Bay, under soft sunrise light. After visiting the bay a few months ago, I was so impressed with this magical place that I decided to guide a trip there myself. Next July, at the exact day the sun first touches the horizon after a long Arctic summer, my new 'Tales of Arctic Nights' Greenland workshop will begin. We'll have a whole week of nightly sails to shoot the unbelievable nature in the area, including jagged mountains, icebergs as big as skyscrapers and playful whales, all under the amazing light of the midnight sun. Join us and sign up for this spectacular trip! You're welcome to follow me on facebook and Instagram , where you can get a first look at my images, as well as get all the info about my work, photo tours and other news. ISLAND SAGA III by phigun

Island Saga III 2015 This was easily one of the most amazing and colorful sunsets I have ever whitnessed during my travels and one of those super rare and special moments as a landscape photographer. This sunset highlights the ridiculously beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss located in south Iceland right on the ringroad. I camped right across the street and we just had lunch and enjoyed the evening as this sunset sets in, I quickly grapped my tripod and my filters and ran to the waterfall. I fired about 100 shots one after another, in between I also captured some video material. I was quite excited and scared at the same time to mess this shot because this was a one of a kind oportunity and only the second perfect sunset overall during my 11 day roadtrip. “BEAT is a masterful short film: explosive, involving, tense, different, and almost entirely dialogue-free” - Screen International. BEAT is an award-winning short film by Aneil Karia about a man walking a paper-thin line between profound joy and complete hopelessness. Shot on 16mm, the film is about the sprawling chaos and oppressive loneliness that coexist in the city, and a man who finds his withdrawal from the world challenged by a visceral force. The film has screened at over 40 festivals worldwide including BFI London Film Festival, Edinburgh Film Festival, Warsaw, Rhode Island, Melbourne, Brest European Short Film Festival, Slamdance and Encounters, where the film won the New European Talent Award. Marlboro Point by DustinLeFevre1

I have returned to this view many times hoping to find catch a sky to compliment the canyon. This time I returned with fellow photographer Chad Dutson who had never made the trip down this 4 wheel drive road. The sky looked like it has potential but a few minutes after sunset we were blown away with the way the color exploded. I abandoned what I thought was a good composition earlier and frantically ran around until I found this view. For this exposure I opted to stack a CPL with a 5 stop ND for a longer exposure of roughly 3 minutes. Chad Dutson has a gallery showing at Dead Horse Point State Park through October. For anyone that is in the Moab area it is worth checking out. Follow me on Instagram @dustinlefevre via 500px http://bit.ly/1QazZ9f

Disappearing Act? by scottsmorra

What would you do if Hrafnabjargafoss disappeared? I just found out the National Power Company of Iceland is planning to build a dam on the Skjálfandafljót River in Northern Iceland. The Skjálfandafljót River is home to several stunning waterfalls including; Aldeyjarfoss, Ingvararfoss, Hrafnabjargafoss and Goðafoss. The new Hrafnabjörg Power Plant and dam would divert water away from a long stretch of the river downstream and would lead to the loss of several waterfalls. There are currently 3 different options on the table for the dam. For option A, Aldeyjarfoss, Ingvararfoss, Hrafnabjargafoss would all dry up and disappear and for options B and C Ingvararfoss, Hrafnabjargafoss would be gone. Having seen these waterfalls in person, I feel it would be an incredible loss if they were to vanish. I do understand the need for energy, but it seems like there are better places than this area to build a dam. What do you think? If you would like to sign the petition against the dam construction you can click here http://bit.ly/1QazYSU My Website - Facebook - Google+ - Twitter - Instagram via 500px http://bit.ly/1OnOicn

Carson's Spring by RyanDyar

Northern Lights Finale - With Arild Heitmann Processing Tutorial Videos Processing Instruction via Skype I don't request this often, because normally I don't care much and I'm sure you don't either... But please view this one on black. A shot from a while ago I never got around to posting. Fairly simple scene here of Carson Mountain in the early spring while snowshoeing around looking for something a little different from the area. This was a few exposures blended together for depth of field, a bit of dodging and burning to enhance the fog coming off the lake in the background, and a plethora of luminosity adjustments to dial in the contrast where I liked it. Maybe 20min of processing total. Anyways, I'm gearing up for some more arctic travel here in a few weeks with my good friend Arild Heitmann. We also have another trip next March that is filling fast! I'm willing to bet these trips to the Arctic will be even more productive than our last. I can't wait! Also, I just released a new post-processing instructional video a few days back. It's packed with some unique techniques and theories about processing you may not find anywhere else. People seem to really be enjoying the videos and have had nothing but great things to say, so I *think* they are helping people... it's been awesome to see the many before/after shots people have been emailing me. Be sure to check the videos out if you are into that sort of thing. It's all on my website, as well as more photos, photo tour info, processing instruction via Skype like everyone else is doing, etc, etc. via 500px http://bit.ly/1ikXxxQ

So this is the shot I've been working for awhile now. I needed to stack the many light trail shots into one. I think it is really awesome how this road look when it's lighten by cars. Dettifoss is situated on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river, which flows from the Vatnajökull glacier and collects water from a large area in Northeast Iceland. The falls are 100 metres (330 ft) wide and have a drop of 45 metres (150 ft) down to the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. It is the largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of 193 m3/s. via 500px http://bit.ly/1EXRvx2

Fire Watch by RyanBuchanan

+View on black+ Walking back from Hidden Lake in the dark, we were greeted with a huge full moon rising from behind the mountains. To the naked eye, you could see the faint smoke plume over St. Mary’s from the forest fires we had been dealing with all week. After setting up a couple quick test shots, I realized that a full 30-second exposure revealed this incredible red glow from fires illuminating the smoke. Not exactly an ideal composition, but also not your everyday kind of scene, so I set up to where I could use the nice moonlight reflections that accentuated the flowing stream as my foreground. The smokey haze created a warmer moonlight than usual. This is one, 30-second exposure that I was able to pull a ton of detail out of the darkness and another exposure for the moon detail. This was a fitting conclusion to our fire-filled week and left me with a unique memory of our adventures here. Ayer por la tarde repasando fotos me percaté de que la dirección de la luz en Famara y de Benijo al atardecer tiene la misma dirección, así que la idea de hacer este acople resultó demasiado tentadora.. via 500px http://bit.ly/1LlgSWy

Pins and Needles by RyanDyar

It took me a few minutes to figure out exactly what the hell kept falling on my head while I was shooting this day. Turned out to be nesting birds on the cliff behind me dropping rocks on me in protest to my presence... sounds a lot like my lovelife prior to meeting the gal I was lucky enough to marry a couple weeks ago. 2015 Tour Schedule Lofoten Autumn Aurora - With Arild Heitmann Northern Lights Finale - With Arild Heitmann Processing Tutorial Videos Processing Instruction via Skype via 500px http://bit.ly/1UGGIcw

The Plunge 2 by ArturStanisz

Please view on black. Prints available at arturstanisz.com As I mentioned previously while commenting on some of my photos, my artistic approach is a dynamic process and it will likely last forever. I keep redefining my landscape photography vision simply because I constantly develop in the field and switch sources of inspiration. My way of landscape photography execution doesn’t involve going to places and shooting the first appealing composition. Instead I like to take risks and come up with new approaches. Before I start shooting, firstly I need to feel the place. And I mean in it in a holistic approach. Each of my photos is a combination of composition, technical skills and deeper connection with the photographed location. One doesn’t exist without the other. I would never go to the place just to take couple photos, but I frequently go to places and explore them even if I don’t shoot. This photo features Brandywine Falls in BC, near Whistler. Every time when I look at this waterfall I reassure myself that it looks more interesting from its very edge than from the bottom. It was a thrilling and adrenaline boosting experience to shoot there again. By the way, it is 70 metres of that plunge. via 500px http://bit.ly/1hW2XyF

Directed and Edited by Nicolas Heller Cinematography by Oliver Lucian Anderson Produced by Alexandra Eaton Retro fashion has always been a popular form of expression, but the members of New York-based art and music collective the Tribe are taking their love for the Eighties and Nineties beyond the surface of style. For the past the three years, the Tribe’s six core members — King Kid Love, Manolo Mike, Chill, Prynce, Teddy and Paulie — have looked to the past for not only an artistic outlet but a means of creating a community of likeminded individuals. “We’ve come together to live the same vision,” King Kid Love, a musician, explains. While an old-school hip-hop aesthetic is integral to their style, each member has a different dream: Paulie is a stylist, Manolo Mike a poet. “We knew we could come together with these different ideas and succeed together with having one whole vision,” Kid Love continues. “That vision is Tribe NYC.” Kid Love remembers feeling disengaged from the interests and trends kids his age had while growing up. His unique sense of style — flat-top haircut, skinny jeans — isolated him from his peers, so he turned to books and music for comfort. On his iPod, he had nothing but Eighties and Nineties hip-hop, the kind of music his dad would play. “I didn’t know what was going on in music,” he says. All the members of the Tribe are based in Brooklyn and in their early twenties. They studied films like Juice and White Men Can’t Jump as well as old music videos for stylistic inspiration, finding Nineties style to have longevity because of its authenticity. For the Tribe, they see their community as an impending revolution. “Like Tupac said, ‘I may not be the one to start the revolution, but I’m going to be the one to spark the mind,’” Kid Love reflects. “10, 20, 30 years from now, people are always going to remember Tribe NYC.” Read more: http://rol.st/1hUDKVn

Island Saga I by phigun

Island Saga I, 2015 For sure I also captured some of these famous spots too but for me it was more about trying to explore and find places that are not overvisited by us photographers these days. I loved this beautiful calm and reduced sunset scene in the middle of nowhere on one smaller road in northern iceland. i was just looking for a place to sleep at around 11'o clock as I found myself jumping out the car trying to capture this lovely little moment.
